Character's Name: Talon Snowfang
Character's Age: 20
Character's Gender: Male
Character's Race: Barbarian
Characters Realm: Greenhaven
Alignment: Neutral
Character Class: Warrior
Character's Appearance:
Talon stands around the height of 7’ 6” tall. He weighs around 335 pounds. His eyes are a dull gray, similar to the clouds that are laden with heavy snow fall. His hair is a light silver hair. His hair comes down to his chin and he normally leaves it to fall where it wishes. He is a big man, like most barbarian men, with the majority of his body is greatly muscled. His skin has a light tan to it due to the tundra sun reflecting off the icy snow.
Talon wears the black wolf pelt, peppered with silver hairs, that he acquired on his week long trip into the wild to prove he was a worthy barbarian man as his cloak with a hood. He also wears black fur covered leather armor that he had made from the same gigantic wolf pelt. He owns a claymore blade made of durable metal that his sheathed in a hard leather black furred sheath. His cloak is tied just in front of the neck with a simple leather tie. His necklace, with 4 wolf claws on it, rests in the center of his chest under his cloak. The majority of his outfit is made of the black wolf’s pelt that he had killed when he did the trip into the wild.
Character's Personality: Talon is sort of introvert. He keeps to himself unless he knows it is needed he has to speak. He prefers to stick to the things he knows; hunting, drinking, eating, fighting, and tracking. He isn’t one to start a fight with another being but he will protect the tribe he belongs to. He sees the world as a fierce opponent that is always becoming stronger and thus so must he.
He is ferocious on the battle field. He doesn’t let up until his opponent is unable to move or screams in defeat. He often uses his tracking and ability of knowing the land against his foes to make his strikes even more effective. He can be kind and caring but he is often seen as the silent but vicious barbarian hunter. He values his family, if he ever has one of his own, over his life and would fight to protect it.
Character's History:
Talon Snowfang was born during the full moon of the fall months. He is the only child to his parents and was trained as if he was a child of a big family. He was taught by his mother to eat what he was given that not to waste what he had been given. He was taught by his father to track, hunt, kill, and wield a weapon. He believes in honor in the tribe and his family. He did everything he was asked by the tribe and parents even when he was young.
At the age of 7, his father realized that Talon was capable of being on his own for long periods of time. This was because his father had actually lost him on a trip to the borders to trade. His father wasted an entire half of a week hunting him but ended up following his trail around the territory of a wolf pack and found him watching the pack carefully. He commented that he had been tracking them and eating from their kills while he was “playing.” His father just laughed and took him back home to his mother.
At the age of 9, Talon asked his father if he could become like him. Talon explained he was ready to make the lonely journey into the wild and bring back a pelt on his own from an animal he killed with his bare hands. His father agreed and sought out the chance to make it happen; which it did. Talon left the tribe with nothing at all but his skin. He left during the massive blizzard months of the territory he lived in with the Wolf Tribe. Most of the tribe thought he would die before coming home; only his parents had fate in his safe and proud return.
Talon actually went out and tracked the vary pack of wolves he had tracked for a game when he was 7 to kill one for his trial. Talon noticed that the alpha wolf of the pack was still the same black wolf from two years prior. He was satisfied that it was time for a new wolf leader. He dug in the snow for hours and finally found the frozen remains of one of their meals; he remained down wind of the pack trying to hide from them in the blizzard winds made it a bit difficult for him to move where he wanted. He positioned himself where he needed to be for the night, after covering himself with the blood that he had thawed out of the frozen carcass to coat his smell, and waited.
At night fall, Talon made his move. He moved in on the back of the pack while they were sleeping. He had to move very slowly and cautiously while stepping towards the middle of the group. The leader wasn’t there. Talon was shocked for a moment before leaving the group the way he came. He moved along the edge where he had thawed the blood and left a slight mess to notice the giant black wolf staring him down. He was caught but not afraid. He took a deep breathe and watched the wolf as it tried to circle him. Talon gripped the bones in his hands tightly and waited. The wolf rushed him and jumped on him. They rolled around on the ground, Talon using one bone to hold the wolf’s muzzle from his face while gripping the other tightly in his other hand. He got the wolf on his back and sent the snapped bone flying into its right eye. The struggle lasted a brief moment more before the wolf died. Talon had won.
Talon returned home dragging the carcass of the alpha wolf behind him. He skinned the wolf and made the pelt into a cloak, shirt, pants, and boots. He then used its claws to make a necklace which he wears proudly. He shared the meat with the tribe and took his first weapon, a claymore, from his father. He had become what he wanted. His parents were proud of him.
Talon, now 20, has realized that he needs to journey into the world to find things out. He was curious about so many things and had some things that didn’t make since to him. He told his parents of his choice and, though they wanted him to stay and get married, they supported his choice to leave. Talon left the tribe with the pelt he had earned and his sword. He would return one day stronger and plenty of stories to tell the tribe and his future family.
