Character's Name: Valkyrie Mesmar
Character's Age: 59
Character's Gender: Female
Character's Race: Kitsune- Void
Characters Realm: Redhaven
Alignment: Good
Character Class: Guard
Character's Appearance:
Normal Form: On all fours, Valkyrie stands three feet tall and two inches and weighs one hundred and eight-nine pounds. She is tall with a long charcoal-black main that runs down her back. The fur on her chest is silver, along with the tips of her ears, bottom of her legs, arms, and tail. Her eyes match the color of her fur, a silver liquid almost. She is covered in scars from head to toe. The most noticeable ones are the scar on going diagonal along her right eye, and a large one, in the shape of an X that runs across her chest, often hid by her thick fur. She has only one tail, which is long and fluffs out slightly past the middle.
Semi-Human Form: Valkyrie stands five feet tall and six inches and weighs one hundred two pounds. Her gut is rather thin, almost slightly unhealthy, but the rest of body seems to be decently proportioned. Her colors are basically the same. The only major difference is that on her arms she wears dark grey gloves with a white and silver peace sign on her wrist. Her body is delicate, frail, almost as if it could be easily snapped in two. Her muscles are primarily in her arms and legs. She has black claws on her feet and arms. Her teeth are razor sharp, a significant weapon when in her normal form and just as powerful in her Semi-Human form.
Human Form: Valkyrie is tall, six feet and two inches, and slender and weighs about one hundred nineteen pounds. She has long charcoal-black hair that goes slightly below her waist which she normally keeps pulled back, allowing a few bangs on each side to hang down. Her eyes are distant and the color of liquid silver. Her skin is fair with little color to it. She looks sickly pale in her human form. Like her other two forms, her fingernails are long and black. Her face is cherubic, gently curved with almost no flaws, except for the huge scar running down her right eye.
Valkyrie is dressed in a white under shirt with black shorts that look like they have been torn . Over it, she wears a simple armor. The armor covered her arms completely. It also covers her legs slightly past the knees where it comes to a point in the center of her thigh, which acts as her boots. She also has a breast plate that stops just after her breasts and attach to the armor on her arms, the top of it is in the shape of a V, revealing her neck.
Character's Personality: Like most Kitsunes, Valkyrie is happy and cheerful all the time, she just isn’t that good at showing it. She is stoic, never really showing any emotion. She spends a majority of her days with Molly and Carrie, frequently watching over them or giving Carrie piggy-backs. She spends the rest of her time helping other people or with her family. She helps as many people as she can. On occasions, she will act as a mercenary, getting rid of trouble for money, but she only does this when she is desperate because it makes her feel greedy. She doesn’t have much of an ego, or even self-esteem. She takes every insult to hearts and often sees herself as nothing more than dirt. She is ok with this as long as she knows she isn’t hurting anyone.
The biggest fault in Valkyrie’s personality is her pride. Because of her pride, Valkyrie does not use her human form, but generally her semi-human form. She does not believe that a Kitsune should hide in the body of a human or they would be no better than them, unable to live freely and run among the trees. Only in severe cases will she use her human form, otherwise she uses her normal form or her semi-human form.
Character's History: Valkyrie was born just like any other Kitsune, one among many. She was happy for the longest time, no different from any other Kitsune. Once the Kitsune population became threatened, her entire family moved to the city and took on the human form, never turning into what they truly where. Outraged by this, Valkyrie refused to take her human form. Her family still watched over her, her three brothers and one sister, but in someways it was almost as if she was shunned.
With no where else to go, Valkyrie remained with them, but often went off to places on her own, not telling her family where she was going, often being gone for days, and sometimes even a month. Her family told her siblings that she only returned for food, that she didn’t care for them anymore. This wasn’t true. Valkyrie cared for her family greatly, but being different from them, often didn’t know how to express it.
When Valkyrie ran away, she would befriend humans, orphan children to be specific. She pitied their state, and often did anything to help. She felt more at home with the orphans, more needed and respected. This continued for nearly twenty years, when she was 48. The humans would grow older, they respected her for all they had given them, but she didn’t seem to fit with them. They would go their separate ways, with other people who would have gladly killed her.
Heartbroken, Valkyrie returned to her family for ten years, often hearing from her father how stupid it was for her to believe she belonged with humans rather than her own kind. She argued that if Kitsunes wanted peace, why did they discriminate humans. He had told her that, although this was true, it was due to the humans actions that they no longer trusted their kind. The human’s greed was cause them to commit unreasonable actions, and that the word “friend” was used to loosely among their kind.
After those ten years, Valkyrie had meat another human who spoke to her like she was one of their own. She began to lose hope when she met Molly and Carrie, two orphan girls who’s family had died in a fire. Molly, the oldest at age seven, refused Valkyrie’s aid for some time while Carrie who was only five, loved having Valkyrie around, often mistaking her for a cat and calling her Kitty. A month later, both of the girls awaited the arrival of Valkyrie each time she would leave.
Reluctant to leave the children, Valkyrie continued to communicate between both her family and the two children. Her mother told her she was only setting herself up again for another heartbreak, but she didn’t care. Just to know that she was being waited for, that she was wanted, brought her so much joy, even for a little while.
