He enjoys killing and fighting almost as much as he loves his children. He tends to be take actions first ask questions never kind of guy. If you piss him off your on the end of his blade most beg not to be on. He is also a very interesting person because he has one quirk that most never find out about…he enjoys seeing roses.
Darius is a cocky man like most of his race. He hates everyone that is not his wife or children. He trusts no one but his closest family. He is filled to the brim with pride and enjoys showing his authority by striking fear in all those who are in his kingdom. Darius is just an over all black hearted, cold, hating person who fears nothing and challenges any and all authority, if there were any above him or stupid enough to try to boss him around that is.
Character's History:
Darius is the first born son of his father, Krael, and he has a younger brother Thaodis; Thaodis is three years younger than Darius. By Thaodis being born, Darius was extremely jealous that he was no longer the center of attention. Oddly enough, they look very alike which is just like their father. Thaodis knew he was smarter than Darius and often rubbed it in his face; this made Darius hate his brother even more.
When Darius was 5, he began his training as a Priest of the Faiths Temple. He obtained his priest robes that he had to wear all the time. He had to read books constantly and be taught by tutor of the temple. Darius and his tutor actually become some what good friends. When Darius was 6, he witnessed his father kill his mother. He didn’t mention anything about it and held it deep in him; this was the beginning of the end of his father due to the hatred Darius began to develop because his father killed the one person who cared for him more than the world.
After the first year of training at home, he had to travel to the temple to complete his training. The only reason he was in the training was that his father thought it would teach him good leadership skills, which he needed to be the next in line for king. When he gets to the temple, one of the head priests there was a goddess, Dawn. Dawn teaches Darius what he needs to do as a Priest of the Faiths. Eventually, Dawn falls for the younger Darius after years of training closely under her; Darius didn’t feel the same about her. After those 10 years of Darius training under Dawn, he finally left for good after completing his training. Dawn was very angry with him.
When he gets back, Darius’s dad takes him to the side and has a conversation about some choices he had made over the last 10 years while Darius was away. After a long talk, Darius was basically told that his father had decided that Darius was no longer fit to be the next in line for king; this decision was made due to some choices Darius had made during his short visits home during his priest training. His father had told him that Thaodis was to be the next king. This was the last straw for Darius; he ended up killing his father in that split instant to end the issues he had with him not being king.
Darius then dragged his father’s body to the square and threw it down. He claimed that his brother had slain his father and needed to be punished. Darius then moved to where Thaodis was eating and distracted him long enough to slip drugs into his food to knock him out. Darius then waited for him to fall asleep before dragging him to a cave and locking him away. He promised his brother once he was king he would release him; he never would keep his promise.
Darius then returned home and assumed his rightful place as King. One of the scouts of his kingdom came into his throne room towards the end of that year to tell him that the prophecy of the faiths had come true and that they were there. Darius decided that since he was a priest and a king he was obligated to return to the island to see the faiths; he returns to unknowingly to see his first three children. Upon his arrival, he is taken to see the three. They are infants at the time and very adorable; one boy with silver hair, one boy with brown, and a girl with pink hair. All of the triplets have bright green eyes and a eight pointed yellow star on their foreheads. Every priest at the temple was caring for the children, including his good friend and old tutor.
Darius decided that he would place his advisor in his palace to rule under his law for the time he was on the island. He got his new robes, which meant he had to remove his royal outfit. Within 2 to 3 years, Darius had become a High Priest and his kingdom was flourishing. By the time the faiths were 8 years old, he noticed his ex tutor was acting slightly funny. Darius noticed his old friend not sleeping when everyone else was. The old friend was sneaking out and people didn’t ask questions because he was a high priest as well; Darius, being curious, found out where he was disappearing to at night.
Darius discovered that his best friend had started a relationship with the Goddess Dawn. Even though he didn’t have feelings for Dawn, he was insanely jealous. He couldn’t explain why to even himself but it was just a feeling he felt. During one of the nights his ex tutor was returning, Darius jumped him and took him to the water’s edge and drowned him. The event of actually over powering his ex tutor and friend was fairly simple due to the fact he had trained his body intensively to keep his self strong to hold his throne. He let the body lie in the water and float there while he returned to his own room. When he had gotten to his room, he realized he had let his anger get the best of him yet the rush of letting it happen excited beyond belief. In the morning when his ex tutor was not doing his duties, Darius explained that he had witnessed him leaving the island and asked him why. The story Darius told that was told to him was that the ex tutor said he needed to leave and couldn’t explain why and that he was giving his power to Darius; making Darius the head of the Temple now.
After taking the Temple under his rule, things go smoothly and he began working with the Faiths while they did their jobs as gods. It wasn’t until the Faiths were around 14 or 15 that Darius began to face issues of love towards the pink haired faith, Yara. He made most opportunities he could to spend time with her in and out of work. He couldn’t explain to even himself why he was doing it but later found out he was head over heels in love with her. He took advantage of one of the opportunities and her innocence to take her innocence; he told her that it was ok and because he had been so loyal to her she believed him.
A Priest from one of the smaller temples, across the globe, came to stay at the temple; his name was Krys. He became friends instantly with the three Faiths. It was roughly the time around the Faiths 17th of life, that Darius noticed that Yara was spending too much time with Krys; he became filled with rage and jealousy once more. He actually catches them together doing the same thing he had done to her since she was 14 or 15 up till then. Seeing this act, made Darius extremely pissed off. He tries to talk to Yara alone to tell her he doesn’t agree with the actions she is doing with Krys. He tells her that he wishes to take her back to the kingdom to marry her; she says she can’t because Krys asked and she had said yes to him. Darius was now beyond pissed because this no body came in and took his girl away from him.
Darius loses his cool and tells Yara that he was going to take care of that problem and that he wasn’t going to stand for this. Yara tries to stop him but he rounds on her and smacks her hard enough to knock her out. He changes into his outfit he normally wears, his royal outfit, before goes into the Temple. He kills everyone that crosses his path until he reaches Krys. Darius, not expecting Krys to be a fighter, was surprised that he held his own for awhile against him. The battle lasts all night and partial of the following day. The battle had taken out the majority of the island and killed every one but those two and Yara. Yara had distracted Krys and gave Darius the chance he was looking for. Darius made a fatal blow to Krys and forced him to the ground. Darius then picked up Yara, he was in a massive rage, and kissed her deeply before slamming a dagger through her chest. He forced Krys to watch. He then dropped the body of Yara and turned on Krys. He gave him a smirk before grabbing his head and twisting before slamming the very same dagger through his skull. Darius stood after the last blow had been given to look down on the bodies. He realized, finally, that he had killed the woman he had loved. He began shaking with a new emotion; it was intense sorrow. He began crying as he looked down on her body. He left the island that day.
Darius returns to his kingdom and tells the entire kingdom that he had brutally slain the entire island; he was labeled as a tyrant from that point on. This was the day that Darius no longer cared and treated even one that was not part of his race as if they were insects. Darius ruled with a bloody iron sword and never gave mercy on the battle field or in the trails of those accused of crimes against the king. He spends hundreds of years ruling like that before meeting an Aerlore named Dio that he could not beat. It annoyed him but what got to him the most was that Dio looked so much like Krys and he could not, for the life of him, beat Dio. Darius began looking into the history of Dio to find out that Dio is the Great Grandson of Krys’ brother; this infuriated Darius so much to not be able to beat this complete idiot of the worse enemy Darius had so far. Darius decided that since he could not beat Dio he would find another way to get to him; Darius slain Dio’s wife. Dio had a son that Darius had over looked due to the fact there were so many of their kind protecting the boy.
Darius had been satisfied with that for a long while. It wasn’t until 6 or 7 years later that Darius heard that a portal to another dimension had opened and spit out several people. Darius’ curious nature got the best of him and he sought this portal’s location. The portal had opened up on the island of the Aerlore’s. He had found a girl named Ania that looked very like Yara. There were slight differences like she had pointed ears and slightly taller. Darius thought it was Yara but it wasn’t her because of the difference in the height and looks. He passed it off as coincidence. After four days of watching them, he over heard this Ania girl talk about her sharing a body with two other people. Darius witnessed her let another soul take over and watched the girl’s body morph to look just like Yara’s with the star of the Faith and the wings she had before. Darius then rushed in and snatched up and ripped open a fire portal to return him and her to his kingdom.
Darius, after returning to the kingdom, forces information out of Yara to explain how she was alive. She explains that after he killed her she spent a long time looking for the perfect host body to be reincarnated with. All the Faiths could do this to be able to continuously live. She explains that she went to reincarnate herself as Ania but discovered that the body came with a new soul, and another soul that tried to be reincarnated. She explains that she had spent the last 16 years in the body with an innocent soul and a soul of evil. She knew that he was assuming that Dio was related to Krys but she told him that Dio was actually Krys reincarnated; this royally pisses Darius off. Darius then tells her that he is keeping his word this time about not letting her go anywhere regardless if she liked it. He told her she could fight him and accept it or accept it and deal with it. He didn’t care that it wasn’t her body.
During the time Yara was there, Darius had assigned guards to keep Dio and the girl’s family from reaching his tunnels. During this time, Yara/Ania gave birth to his twins, Athen his son and Rose his daughter. By this point, Yara faked acting to like him to get off from being shackled to a wall. Darius thinks he has finally made her like him the way he wanted her to like him. She had gotten Darius to the point of he thought she loved him and explained that she was taking Rose out for a walk; Darius assigned guards to follow anyways. This was one month after the twins’ birth.
Yara knew that guards were following her. She had managed to avoid the guards long enough to summon a sand worm. The worm tore through a city and used it as a distraction to escape. She tore her shirt and Rose’s blanket then coated it with blood from a dead person. Darius rushed out to the scene to find the blanket and shirt and killed the worm. The guards said that Rose and Yara had been killed by the worm for the fear of them being killed for not seeing them escape.
Darius slipped into an insane mourning stage. Darius only had Athen, who had been constantly killing everyone who touched him besides Darius. He doesn’t know what happened but he has Athen when Xyn appears. She had blown the door down, killed a few guards, impressed Darius, offered to hold the baby that was known as the nanny killer, and told Darius about the plan to get revenge. Darius then becomes happy and excited at the same time and offers her to be his queen; she accepts.
3 ½ years would pass…
Xyn had begun looking more like her original self and Athen had grown to love his new mother. Darius had returned to his normal tyrant self and the kingdom was back to being controlled by its rightful ruler. This was the time that Xyn had given Darius his second son, Draven. Darius was thrilled about his new born son who was nothing like his brother Athen. Athen was insanely jealous of Draven; everyone knew that Athen was jealous. Xyn babied Athen so much that it didn’t help the jealousy in Athen. Darius would never tell Athen Xyn wasn’t his mother. Darius, on several occasions, had to protect Draven from his mental brother.
4 more years would pass…
Xyn had given birth to the third child of Darius; a new born daughter, Siren. Siren was Darius’ pride and joy. He constantly babied her and treated her like she was the most valuable gem in the world. He told his sons that Siren is there little sister and is to be protected as if she was there favorite thing in the world; which she ended up being their favorite thing in the world. Darius, still to this day, babies his little girl. He sees her doing nothing wrong and always being pampered. Darius would always secretly admit that Siren was his favorite child. 10 years after Siren was born, Xyn gave Darius another son, Storm. Darius was excited but Siren was still the object of his affection. Over the next 6 years, Athen had begun to be out of control and Darius is thinking he bit of more than he could chew. But Siren, Draven, and Storm would remain loyal to their father. Darius hasn’t did a thing about Athen but he knows the time will come when he must.
