Damien had just anchored his ship in the docks and was moving towards the pub he had grown to love in this Pirate Port. He moved through the groups of people with ease thinking to himself as he slipped by a few more people as he entered the pub. He sat down and ordered a pint of rum. He licked his lips as he noticed a few bar wenches eyeing him. He tilted his head to the side as the bar maid walked up to him. "What'll it be Damien?" She asked the familiar face. Damien tossed his red hair behind his ears and looked up to her. "The usual....keep the rum coming." HE said before she wrote down his food. "Itll be here soon." She said as she moved away.
Damien had been out at sea with his crew looking for a treasure that was thought to be further out. The hunt came up short and Damien had nearly lost most of his crew to a sickness. He sighed rubbing his temples before placing his hand back on his scimitar. He took a deep breath before taking a large gulp of the rum the bar maid sat down. "Bah...It is still the worse tasting rum I have ever had the misfortune of tasteing." He said aloud.

"Well thats what you get for drinking something you didn't bother to even notice that the colour was that of Rat's piss." A voice whispered down from the ceiling, before the bar maid pulled out a large pistol and shot at where the voice came from, forcing him to drop down. "Business as good as always I see." The 14 year old laughed dryly. "Meraxa, how many times? This is a pub for christ's sake, not some kiddish play club. And the boss has ordered me to shoot you if you came back in. Now stay still so I can give you a rather painful sex change." The bar maid said as she shoved in the necessary pieces of material for the gun to fire a second time, pistol's may have been useful, but a pain to reload - especially with all that loose powder.
"Don't think so." Meraxa said under his breath as he charged towards the much larger woman, and kneed her straight into the face. Not that anyone took notice, since everyone else here was a pirate like him, and attacking the bar maid was just a usual sight. He raided her pockets for what little money she had, sighed, and threw it to the guy at the table. "Here, its barely worth even a whole gp, not like I can do anything with it. This lot on the other hand..." He said as he jumped behind the bar counter, and pulled out two medium sized barrels.
"This is the good stuff. They always horde it to themselves, and if you do get a taste, expect the maid who gave it to ya to be hung in a few hours. Here, keep it - you deserve it." He smiled at the redhead before walking off, the door closing behind him. What would follow after he left was the angry glares of rum-loving pirates looking over at the one who had taken all that was precious to them - big mistake. Back outside, Meraxa looked around. "Now I followed that guy from the port, so his ship should be... there." He smiled to himself as he looked at the beast tied to the docks. And it was his for the taking. Afterall, there was no way one man could survive being attacked by the entire pub right? His property might as well go to the one who last spoke to him.
"That and I bet he's got some major treasure, what with a blade and ship like that." He said as he boarded the vessel, and pulled in the plank so noone could just walk on after him. "Now lets see, where is that hold?" He looked around, before falling to the floor. "Found it." He sighed to himself as he pulled his leg out of the small grid that served as entrance to the hold. Of course, instead of go down there and possbily trap himself, he opted to merely look at all that boot- "Gunpowder, gunpowder, and more gunpowder. Great." He sighed again. Fantastic, he was sitting on a floating bomb. A... floating... bomb... which he could use in a sneak attack against some well off merchants. Yeah, make the ship look abandoned, wait till whatever defense parties against pirates board the vessel to make sure its safe, then KABOOM as Meraxa swinged across to the merchant ship and took it over - genius.

Damien blinked as it all went down. He nodded as he was shoved t he barrel. He then grabbed it and threw it to one of the nearly drunk Pirates and walked for the door. He grabbed his trench coat and slipped from the pub. He looked over his shoulder as the sound of glass breaking caught his ear. "Hope everything goes well...I would hate to lose my favorite bar because of some kid." He said before shrugging and moving towards port. He saw a shadow of some one moving on board his ship, the Scarlet Reaper. He shook his head. "When will thieves learn..." He laid his trench coat down on the crates near by.
Damien ran silently up to his ship noticing the thief had gotten smarter. He sighed and looked around before noticing the rope that kept it to the dock. "So it's the hard way...." He said before moving to the rope. He grasp it and pulled himself to the railing and over onto his ship before moving around slowly to find where the thief had gone. He slipped up behind the young man and grabbed his arm spinning him around and slamming his face into the wall of the ship. "Who are you and what do you want with my ship...." He said grabbing his other arm and lifting him off his feet. Damien would carry him out and down to the dock before throwing him forward onto his stomach and into the light. Damien noticed it was the kid from before. He groaned and shook his head.
"So this was your plan? Distracting the pirates and going for the best looking one's ship? Are you nuts? I am Damien Darkwaters! I am the best pirate alive and you think you can steal my ship?" Damien withdrew his scimitar and spun it in his hand a bit before gripping the sword with one hand. "Thats it....I am going to teach you a lesson you obviously need to know!" Damien bolted forward rushing the kid bringing his sword down but missing on purpose slamming the blade into the dock's wood. His head kept moving and a last minute smirk slid across his face just before his head collided with the kids sending the kid back wards.
Damien stood and rubbed his head and had one eye close. "Gee kid you sure do have a hard head..." He shook it off before getting into a fighting stance preparing for this kid to fight back. He smirked not knowing of the kids record and not really caring. Damien was seen as often to soft on people but he was an exceptionally tough pirate when pissed off. "Well kid....if you want my ship then shall we fight for it?"

Meraxa was checking just exactly how many barrels - he was counting 98 so far - of gunpowder there were in the hold, when all of a sudden his arm was grabbed and his face connected with the wall of the ship. "Ow..." He groaned as his attacker questioned him. "Who are you and what do you want with my ship...." That voice, well it looked like the guy had better survival instincts than he had originally thought. He was then pulled to the docks where has layed out onto his stomach.
"So this was your plan? Distracting the pirates and going for the best looking one's ship? Are you nuts? I am Damien Darkwaters! I am the best pirate alive and you think you can steal my ship?" The guy would interrogate, as Meraxa turned over to look at him. "The best looking ship is about twenty ships down the dock from yours, however that one actually has a crew guarding it. And if you really think you're the best in the seas, then you obviously have not met my mother." He sighed as this 'Damien' charged at him, bringing his blade just short of Meraxa's face. Not even worth flinching about.
Though the headbutt that came after sure did hurt. It sent Meraxa flying a bit, but it didn't take long for him to get back onto his feet. "Gee kid you sure do have a hard head..." "The side effects of having a pint of milk every day." Meraxa said sarcastically, as Damien continued speaking, rubbing his own temples. "Well kid....if you want my ship then shall we fight for it?" Damien said, fighting stance ready and everything.
And it would appear that Meraxa would respect such a request, as he drew his own Mythril Sword, a mighty blade in its own right. He circled Damien for a bit, until he was standing next to the neighbouring ship's plank. "Psych!" He yelled as he boarded the ship, shocking the crew aboard whilst he knocked the plank into the water and cut the mooring ropes, making it tougher for Damien to follow him. There was however an advantage to this ship - its bow was higher up than the stern of Damien's ship, and as such jumping from one to the other succesfully was made easier by that. Once onboard again, he would scramble for the riggings, climbing with the speed and tenacity of a man possessed.
It didn't take him all that long to get to the top, with a clear view of the grate to the cargo hold from here. If Damien was trying to follow, he would use his mythril sword to cut the ropes holding up the sail, and let its unfurling distract the older teen for a few seconds. He then called out to Damien. "But yeah, I was gonna steal, then use it to commit a daring raid on some merchant - if not navy - ships. The method for said raids, was gonna be... this." He said drawing his pistol, firing a shot as he dived into the waters behind the ship, using the subsequent explosion and the smoke it created as a veil which he could hide behind. And in this veil, he would be swimming behind the rest of the ships to stay out of sight.

Damien watched as the kid ran for the other ship then bounded onto his own once more. Damien sighed knowing this kid was going to be a pain in his rear. He took a step forward once the kid start climbing the ship's riggings. He stopped and saw him pull his pistol. He looked at him curious wondering if this kid was going to shoot him from that far off. "Your aim is gonna be off kid! you cant hit me from the-" BANG! Damien's eyes widened as he saw the aim was not him but down on his ship. Damien watched the kid jump from his perch and divining into the water.
Damien's ship exploded into a thousand pieces....over 100 barrels of gun powder sent his ship up in shreds and flames. Damien dropped his scimitar and his left eye twitched. "M...my ship...." He mumbled before a shard of wood shot past his face cutting his cheek. He curled his hands tightly into balled up fists. "That little....." He growled as he ran to the edge of the dock after grabbing his sword. "I'm going to kill you when I find you!!!" He yelled as he looked to the water. "Come out from hiding you pathetic runt! I bet your mother was a brothel wench!!!" He yelled loudly insulting the pirate boy.

Meraxa merely continued to swim behind the other ships, using them for cover as he overheard Damien yell out insults of his mother being a brothel wench. Please, if she was one I'd have been born with a much easier life. He thought to himself as he continued to swim - definitely not gonna stop for this guy. He finally came to a stop once he had looped around the port, and checked to find a viable method of escape. And he could see one - horse drawn wagon. Of course, the guys who grew produce deeper inland used their horses to get to and from town as slow as they can when bringing it in, but were reckless as heck going back without anything that would cause them to lose a profit if they broke it.
Double checking to see if Damien was nearby, he found it safe enough and ducked under the blankets in the wagon, hiding himself as the horse and its rider set off. Well, at least I won't see anymore of that guy. Meraxa thought to himself again as he gripped into holes in the wagon to try and make sure he didn't fall out. This was gonna bring a whole new meaning to the word "bumpy." Better than being some guy's new swords practice dummy.

Damien ran through the docks kicking over barrel after barrel. Any one who had gotten in his way got a hard right hook to their face. "Look kid! I know you didnt go out to see! I know your out here at the docks still! I will find you and I will beat you to a bloody pulp!" Damien roared and kicked another barrel. It would roll to hit the carriage that Meraxa was hiding in. Damien looked to the carriage as it was running down the path. "Oh no you dont!" He yelled. He sheathed his sword before bolting forward. He was running full speed with adreneline pulsing through his body. As soon as the horse slowed a bit to take a turn Damien lept on the back of the carriage and threw the blanket back. "AH HA!" HE grabbed Meraxa by the back of his shirt and threw him down on the ground.
Damien dropped down on the ground and moved to Meraxa putting his boot to the kid's chest and applied pressure. In one quick flash his sword was drawn and he held the tip to his neck. "You will fight me now kid....I will teach you that just because you have a wanted poster doesnt make you a pirate...I will show you a cruel pirate...." He nicked his throat causing the warm blood to run down his throat. "I dont kill right off boy....I torture and teach people lessons not to mess with me..." He said before lifting his foot and slamming it down into MEraxa's chest. He slammed his blade into the wood before sitting on the smaller teen and punched him once in the face. "Thats for trying to have me beat up...." A second punch to the face. "Thats for making me chase you..." He hit him again. "Thats for blowing my ship up...." He picked his head up and head butted him again. "Thats for pissing me off!" He growled before standing and picking his sword up. "Stand up....you have two choices....you give me your sword arm lopped off or you give me your sword arm as part of my Pirate crew...one way or the other your gonna help me get a new ship!" Damien pushed the blade closer to Meraxa's neck "Or else..."

Meraxa sighed as he was tossed from the carriage and onto the ground - at least the guy was persistent, a good quality. And compared to the practical torture his mother gave him in training, this pain was nothing. Not to say it didn't hurt, but it was bearable. "You will fight me now kid....I will teach you that just because you have a wanted poster doesnt make you a pirate...I will show you a cruel pirate...." "Again you seem to be assuming things off the top of your head. Since not once have I said I was pirate - since I've obviously yet to do anything that people would consider pirate like. I'm just a kid who killed a few dozen merchants because I felt like it. And I've met several cruel pirates - half of them are my family. It sucks to be a Delwas." Meraxa said calmly, no point getting worked up over this. "I dont kill right off boy....I torture and teach people lessons not to mess with me..." Damien's sword slit Meraxa's neck slightly, warm blood trickling outwards. Ah, such a delightful smell. "And whats the point of these lessons if you're gonna kill them anyways? Not like they can put that information to good use." He said, his comment seemingly ignored as Damien slammed down his foot again, with Meraxa merely gritting his teeth, and containing any yell of pain that would make it seem Damien was getting what he wanted.
Then the older teen shoved his sword into the wooden path before unleashing a torrent of punches onto the boy's face. There was something about being beaten, a chase, blowing up the ship - and finally a headbutt for pissing the guy off. Had he lost his little list of good one-liners? Then Damien stood, picking up a sword before challenging the boy like some old-age warrior. "Stand up....you have two choices....you give me your sword arm lopped off or you give me your sword arm as part of my Pirate crew...one way or the other your gonna help me get a new ship!" Damien barked, with the cliche 'Or else' line with a little extra poke of the blade. Jeez, did this guy really think he was being 'fearsome' at all? Well, Meraxa was gonna stand up anyways, even if Damien didn't tell him to - the floor was cold. Brushing himself off, he considered the possibilities.
"Well its obvious that since your ship was unguarded, you don't really have a crew... anymore at least. Though with you as the captain and a ship like yours, it must've had a good thing going for it. And if by sword arm you mean my right arm - which most people do - then it really won't stop me. I fight with both sword and pistol, since my training has made it so I'm ambidextrous - I can use either hand as well as the other. Lastly I doubt taking my lopped off arm as payment will help you gain a ship, whilst I need a way off this island myself, since business here is nonexistent unless you're selling rum or fruit. So theres only one way to go - now what do you reccomend as a course of action to get your new vessel then? You are the captain afterall." He asked, might as well get this over with.

Damien looked him over and sighed before sheathing his blade. "You know for a runt your kinda cocky and annoying." He said before crossing his arms. "I am Damien Darkwaters." Damien stuck his hand out for MEraxa to shake his hand. "I am....er...was the captain of the Scarlett Reaper. Since your so observant I will mention that the ship was unguarded because normal, sane pirates, do not mess with me or my crew." He stated before glancing to the ocean seeing a few more pirates make port. Damien took a deep breathe before pulling his hand away and moving towards his jacket he had laid down pulling it around his shoulders. "I am not exactly sure what we will be doing to get me a new vessel but we might as well look around the port..." He stated before heading further away from the pub.

"I believe you already told me your name when you attacked me the first time." Meraxa said as he took Damien's hand and shook it, might as well get some form of trust going. "I am....er...was the captain of the Scarlett Reaper. Since your so observant I will mention that the ship was unguarded because normal, sane pirates, do not mess with me or my crew." "Is there ever really such a thing as a sane pirate?" Meraxa joked under his own breath, following his 'captain' down to the docks. "And what shall we look for then? Unlike yours - every other ship is guarded. Sure you can hop aboard a few seconds before hop skotching to the next one, but after that you've given them enough time to gut you. We could pickpocket as many people as is humanly possible, theres got to be enough gold total on this island for something half decent. We could get a job... if there was one to be had. Pub doesn't like giving them to anyone with even a hint of blade on or in their person, and noone sells crops except their own."

Damien nodded as he moved through the port heading inland. "Which is why we are going to go look for the treasure rumored to be hidden inland." He smirked as he looked back to Meraxa. "And yes...no pirate is sane my dear friend. Because most pirates are greedy little demons. Anyhow, Since I have no first mate and you are going to become my first mate now....should we ever obtain a ship again." He said before closing his eyes and moving down further from port. Damien was well built and would be a very hard fight should one of the lesser bandit gangs rush him.

"Treasure? I've spent a few months here already, but I haven't heard of any treasure. Then again I guess whoever buried it would try to get offland as soon as possible - y'know, before his tongue slips or anything." Meraxa shrugged, because however cliche it may have been, that treasure was probably the one thing that would help them out right now. He continued to listen to Damien talk, nodding slightly to his statement of being first mate. Well he was the only other member of the crew - of course he'd be the first mate. That was when he noticed that the smaller groups of pirates were avoiding them, or to be more specific - Damien. Looked like the guy must've had some reputation out at sea then, and with the navy having so little influence here, it would make sense if the bounties were out of date or lacking in some way.

Damien looked to him and smirked. "Shocked that they fear me? A lone pirate in a bay full of crews who are vicious?" He smirked prideing himself on the way they were stepping out of his way as he walked through the port and deeper inland. "I am Damien Darkwaters and I have a bounty nearly three times the size of most of the pirates in this bay. Dead...if I am brought alive I am worth nearly 4 times." He stated before looking to the ground. "I lost my temper once in a neutral port...several boats sank, a few dozen people died, and my sword never once left its sheath." He state bluntly before dusting his coat off and sighed. "I guess you could call me heartless but I see it as a gift." he said smirking as he looked up to the sky. "Anyhow...the treasure is pretty far inland so lets go." He said hyperly.

Meraxa took it all in, that was pretty bad - man had a temper. Wonder what he would say if he found out what Meraxa did to get his bounty? "Thats pretty heartless for sure, though I can't say I'm any saint - killing 2 dozen merchants who had saved my life was pretty mean of me." He smiled, nothing to be ashamed of here right? "Anyhow...the treasure is pretty far inland so lets go." Damien said, his voice suddenly a tad bit hyper, looked like there was another thing he and Meraxa had in common - the love of riches.
