History: Thousands of years ago the Ancient Japanese people believed in a mythical fox creature known as the Kitsune. Capable of living for thousands of years these creatures were considered magical and sacred creatures to the Japanese. The Kitsune was different from their brothers the Fox, for every hundred years of life the Kitsune would grow another tail, not including the first 100 years of life. Each Kitsune is born with one element that rules over their lives and could be their greatest of strengths and also their down fall. The Kitsune believed in nothing but harmony, and peace only fighting to defend them selves. It wasn’t until word of their legends spread to other country when rumors spread that if you catch a Kitsune and cut off it’s tails it would give the human long life and it’s magical powers. Waves of hunters came and began to plow through the Kitsune and they went into hiding not even trusting the temples in Japan, hiding from all to save their people. The rumors proved to be false but the humans continued to track and hunt them. The humans didn’t care that cutting off a kitsune’s tail would kill the Kitsune. It was then when the last sighting of the Kitsune went down in history they disappeared from the world of humans, where they hid and even living among humans as humans. Since then they become nothing but legend and never really know if they might be coming across other kitsune’s or not.
